High Pressure PET Air Compressor For PET Blowing

High-Pressure-PET-Air-Compressor

As you may know, PET (Polyethylene Terephthalate) is a safe and reusable packaging material. Compared to aluminum cans and glass bottles, PET cans are more environmentally friendly and economical.

Air compressors are the major tool of plastics processing enterprises, Blowing PET or PP Preforms into the bottles requires a lot of compressed air.

The most common applications for PET air compressors?

Blowing PET bottles:

Compressed air from high pressure is used to blow bottles.

The pressure depends on the design of the container, its wall thickness, blowing speed, etc. Bottles with thick walls, sharp edges and special shapes require high pressure. Generally, about 10 to 25 bar is required for pre-blowing in the straw blow molding and about 40 bar for the blowing process of the bottle. The tendency of PET bottle blow machines is to keep blowing pressure as low as possible to save energy.

Cleaning:

Bottles must be cleaned with compressed air before filling them with water, drinks, cooking oil, etc.

If the air is polluted, it will affect the taste and smell, which can cause health problems.

Filling:

Oil-free compressed air must be used for liquid filling machines.

Packaging and labeling:

Low pressure compressed air is also used in automatic lines such as packaging and labeling.

Tools:

For pneumatic conveying during production.
Used for control valves, sorting, polishing, etc.

PET Air Compressor Quality Requirements

Typically, compressed air must be purified from contaminants before use. Common contamination is solid particles, water vapor, and moisture, oil vapor. Those in atmospheric air, oil-injection type air compressors, piping, air storage tank, and lubricating oil for distribution.

When PET compressed air is directly connected with drinking water or beverages, vegetable oil, purity and hygiene must be ensured to avoid contamination.
